Announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 13, the scheme aims to provide up to 300 units of free electricity per month to one million households in the country.

“To further promote sustainable development and well-being of the people, Prime Minister Surya Ghar: Muft launches Bijli Yojana. With an investment of over Rs 75,000 crore, this project will have up to 300 residential units.
