The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday launched a ‘DP (Screenshot)’ campaign on social media to arrest Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the excise case.

Kejriwal behind bars

AAP DP campaign: minister and AAP chief Atishi said all party leaders and volunteers should change their profile pictures on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, WhatsApp and other social media accounts to a picture showing Kejriwal behind bars. The photo also bears the Headline “Modi ka sabse bada dar Kejriwal” (Prime Minister Modi’s biggest fear is Kejriwal).

“To take Arvind Kejriwal’s message to every home, Aam Aadmi Party today launched a nationwide ‘JP Campaign’ on social media. “All Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers have deposed their DPs since 3 pm,” Atishi told reporters.

Atishi urged people to join the campaign and change the face of their social media pages to “save the constitution and democracy” in the country.

Arrested without evidence

AAP DP campaign: Atishi said Kejriwal is the only leader in the country who can stand up to Prime Minister Modi. “So he was arrested by the law enforcement agency without any evidence immediately after the Lok Sabha polls were announced. The BJP filed a fake case against Kejriwal and used ED to lock him up. Why was he (Arvind Kejriwal) locked up like that?” “Immediately after the election was announced,” the minister said.

Law enforcement agencies arrested Kejriwal on March 21 after he was repeatedly named in the chargesheet in the excise case. He was called to the emergency department nine times in connection with the incident, but he never appeared at the detective’s office.

According to the chargesheet, the accused in the excise policy allegedly approached the Delhi Chief Minister to frame the excise policy, resulting in unauthorized benefits for which bribes were paid to the party.

AAP leaders on Monday decided not to celebrate Holi to protest the organizer’s arrest. “Holi is not just a holiday but a symbol of the victory of good over evil, justice over cruelty. Today every leader of Aam Aadmi Party is fighting day and night against this evil, cruelty and injustice. This year Aam Aadmi Party has decided not to play with colors and celebrate Holi,” Atishi wrote on X.
